Hey everyone, are you ready for something most unusual but cool? Today's entry is a site that is full of incredible information about programming, design, retro tech, and media but it's all on one page! Yep, Crystal of crystalsweb.neocities.org has created an excellent page that's part database, part portfolio, and all reminiscing of the styles of the 90s. Since it's all on one web page, I have cut it up into segments but I recommend also scrolling through the whole site by yourself to see the amazing background and the site itself, of course!
How did I find this website?
When I was more actively browsing sites on Neocities (I have been to busy lately, I really want to get back into doing that!), I saw that one of my mutuals had commented on Crystal's profile. I checked it out and was so happily surprised to find such a unique website! There was just so much to explore so I was excited. And I still am!
Check this website out if you like...
If you like: OS design, 3D renders, rich overviews of design styles and aesthetics, insight into development of web and software projects (Crystal is making their own 90's style OS!), and links to stuff and places you have yet to see! It's a whole experience looking at every container on Crystal's site that I highly recommend.
My favourite page on the website is...
I really love the 3D renders of Crystal's dream room. My brother is great at Blender so maybe I should make him model my dream room too... However my fave part of the site has to be the well organized documentation of hand-picked design styles. There's fonts, architecture, and advertising aesthetics, my favourite as many may know is what is now called the Gen X Soft Club.
