Happy December! We're finally starting this little digital event and we're starting really strong. One of my fave websites of all time... aliceinavocadoland.neocities.org! Yes, if Alice has a million fans I am on of them, if she has only one fan, that's me, if she has zero fans I am literally dead. Killed in action. Without further ado, please read on as to why this is an awesome website for you to visit and then go visit it!
How did I find this website?
Sometime in perhaps late 2024, we followed each other on Neocities. We met on the Nostalgia Message Board and wrote in each other's guestbooks. One may say, coincidence? Or is it destiny?! We have so many common interests and over the year we became internet friends. I immediately liked Alice's site when we just began to follow each other, I brought it up on my main blog a few times and I was super pleasantly shocked that she read my blog and reached out! How cool!
Check this website out if you like...
Any of the following: emo expertise (doctorate level), amazing blogs and concert diaries, Jay Chou, Thursday, Nirvanna The Band The Show, incredibly well-crafted pages a-la late 2000s splash-texture blogs, unique and gorgeous fanlistings, the movie Brick, and more.
My favourite page on the website is...
This is basically impossible to narrow down to just one page... I mean, I'm obsessed with just the first splash page on it's own. I also love her new about page and her music blog... but I think Avocado Records is just black-pink emo perfection. I had a very long Avril phase, okay?! I know Alice is cooking up even more good stuff in the mean time and I already have first row tickets.

FINNY! :0 Thank u so much for this <3 <3 <3 I'm so happy you like my site and that you think I have a doctorate in emo LOL . I have to laugh that my site looks, well, different on your screen - where did the icons go o_O (if you could tell me how to stick them to the side of the page, that would be muchly appreciated) oh and I hope you did not pass away in the Avocadoland fan war :) <3 I'm so happy we're friends
ReplyDeleteI know u went to Emo State U!! Its Ivy league! I checked it out and it seems since u have position of those divs set to absolute and top and left to a certain amount of pixels it can push it into awkward places on diff screens... i searched it up but am not sure if removing absolute wont brick the whole thing so we should troubleshoot it!
Deletei will WIN the avocadoland fan war LOL Im also really happy we are <3<3
