Blaugust 2025 Announcement

Hey everyone, starting from the 1st of August I'll be partaking in Blaugust on this here blog. I know, you're thinking: 'What? You totally sucked at A-Z blogging in April and now you want to do the exact same thing but in August?'

... Yeah.

Let bygones be bygones. I'm a different person now (no). I've changed (I haven't). Things are different (Goddamit).

Look, the problem with me is always a total lack of preparation and very unrealistic goals. I'm making sure to avoid that by focusing on just recording my present thoughts during this challenge and not looking to blog all 31 days. I'll do as many as I can or feel actually motivated to and that's all.

Theme. So I'm going to be blogging about my different creative projects which range from comics, visual novels, series of illustrations, microsites and more. Nothing too crazy, I'll just introduce the project/idea, talk about where I am with it at the moment, and future plans I have for it. Expect to see some art, sketches, brainstorms, and the like. If you're curious about world-building, characters, and general creative nonsense, this blog may be for you!

Artfight 2025 #02

It's over! It's actually not... there's a whole week left but I'm throwing my towel in early. First of, my work has been worse than mediocre, I'm seeing so many cool characters but the attacks I produce are just poor. I am not feeling it and I also feel trapped trying to reach an arbitrary number goal (not sure why I set that for myself). Of course, I'll be back next year but without the goals and hopefully in a better mindset. 

Here's what I did manage to finish, mainly revenges to some lovely people who did attack me. I don't like leaving people hanging without at least one revenge.

I feel like I'm seriously losing my sense of style (and my mind). My own projects are a total mess! My art is bad and I have no idea what I want to focus on. My predictions is that Team Crystals loses, my curse never dies. Ah, fuck it! Anyway, I'm gonna make a Blaugust announcement post soon that will be happening on this blog. Wish me luck.

After all these months... it is complete. I'm so burnt out, I have nothing to say even. I guess I'm gonna let the pictures speak for themselves.

Web Design Diary: Music of the 2000s Fanlisting

I'm a real dumb ass, I applied to finish two fanlistings that I totally rushed to finish at the end. I had good ideas for both from the start but got caught up in way too many projects at the same time. My own doing. Anyway, this one is due tomorrow so I finally sat down and got it done. It's not perfect but I added two features that are totally cool.

First, the headers (pics of random 00s music celebs) change on refresh randomly. I did steal the script for it but I mostly get how it works and made it fit the fanlisting.

The CSS for the navigation though, I did totally on my own. Basically when you hover over the 'music player' buttons, the center will have text appear for the page to which the button takes you. Hell yeah! I also know how image maps work now. That's a lot of problems solved.

No more fanlistings for a while because I'm going to get an unmanageable addiction plus the main site needs a lot of work. And I need to finish my CDwORLD zine, like now.

Artfight 2025 #01

Happy Artfight everyone, it has officially started. I actually managed to attack someone on the first day, it was a fellow neocitizen, Tubedfruit. I've long admired their art and their characters, specifically Ryder and Kyle, who are from a project they're working on called Out Of The West. It's really feeling like teen adventures in a desolate town in Ohio. 5 stars.

I'm actually very mad about the line art but by the time I realized that I had already finished the drawing so I decided to go with it. I'm pretty happy with the composition and colors, including the warmth. That's 1/11 done. Wow, I have a long way to go.
